Hardware store manager Steven Butler has been re-elected as Deputy Mayor after a tight ballot on 10 September.
Cr Butler took five of nine councillor votes in a two-man contest with Cr Paul Wheelhouse.
He will serve another one-year term in the deputy role.
The Coonamble Deputy-Mayor is elected for one year, while the Mayor is elected for two.
Butler was one of four first-time councillors to come on board in the 2024 local government elections.
He is quick to acknowledge the learning curve . . .
