The Local Government Elections are coming in hot, with councillor nominations closing last Wednesday afternoon 14 August and the ballot paper draw held the next day in Narrabri.
Fifteen brave candidates made the official leap before the deadline, with nine fresh faces and six experienced candidates as well as the most gender-balanced list of contenders ever seen in a Coonamble shire election.
