An illegal ‘joyrider’ showed that school holidays can have a more sinister side after a boy was arrested in Coonamble on Sunday afternoon.
The 15-year-old boy faced court on Monday 14 July following an investigation into dirt bike use on Coonamble roads.
Police say they attended a premises in King Street at about 3:30pm on Sunday 13, were they found a boy allegedly hiding in a roof cavity.
A police spokesperson said officers found “a small amount” of methylamphetamine, known as ‘meth’ or ‘ice’ in his underwear.
