IN A landmark decision, Coonamble Shire councillors have voted to purchase a block of land as the first step in a move to address the local housing crisis.
According to Mayor Tim Horan the land in question provided an opportunity too good to miss.
“This block is big enough for 16 to 18 quarter-acre residential blocks and is already subdivided which takes about two years off the timeframe to get it on . . .
