Castles, ancient walls and cathedrals behind me, my focus turned to farming and getting a feel for day to day rural life in UK.
I was the guest of a family friend Russell Iveson, an English cropper and land owner who has been travelling to assist with harvest and planting on my farms near Coonamble for a number of years.
Like many UK farmers, Russell has made his home in a village adjacent to his cropping lands.The village of Iveston is located in Durham County north England has a population of 450 people.
