A TRAGIC accident over the weekend has claimed the life of local resident and former Mayor Michael Webb.
Mr Webb, known as George or Webby, was visiting his property on the Barwon River off the Brewon Road near Walgett on Saturday 10 September.
Police and emergency services responded to calls that a tree had fallen onto a man and attended the property.
