Former Coonamble resident Greg Maher and Bears aficionado is chronicling around 100 years of Coonamble rugby league history with a mammoth book he says is almost finished.The draft of the book currently sits at over 250-pages, covering the club from its origins in the 1920s and drawing on hundreds of photos and news clippings sourced from library and newspaper archives.A former club member who moved to Sydney in 1979, Greg said he had a "burning desire" for the project."I won a first grade comp up there and a lot of the people I grew up . . .
