Coonamble and Gulargambone juniors hit the ground running to defeat Wellington in the locals’ debut match under the new Western Plains Warriors under 14s rugby union side.
Around 20 shire superstars formed a team with players from Brewarrina and Warren to head off their opponents 45-36 at Gulargambone Sportsground on Saturday 15 March.
