The Coonamble Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) is back in recruiting mode for its Too Deadly for Diabetes program after it returned in February.
The ten-week program involves sessions on diet and exercise focused on preventing Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.
Residents have shed more than 2400 kilos since the program began in the shire in 2020, according to exercise physiologist and program founder Ray Kelly.
