Gulargambone have come out on top against Coonamble during a low-scoring game in the second round of the ABC Shield.
The younger Gular side fought to 76 runs on their home ground before being bowled out in the 21st over on Saturday 18 October.
They then managed to keep the pursuing Gidgee batters off balance to end their chase on 43 runs.
Gular captain Peter 'Punk' Peters Snr teased that his team had "snatched" former Gidgee captain Tyne Chapman for the 2025 season.
"That was a trophy," he said.
