Heavy cattle on the up

Coonamble Associated Agents yarded 1000 cattle last Wednesday 7 May with a good quality yarding of mainly feeder weight cattle.

Cows were cheaper whereas heavy heifers and steers sold very well.

Halcroft & Bennett report the following hightlights:

Joe and Tanya Smith sold Santa cows at 288 cents, 615kg to $1772.

Murrimbong Partnership offered Charolais cows which made 280 cents, 577 kg $1617.

Tigah Partnership sold Angus heifers 335 cents 402 kg $1349.

Murrimbong Partnership presented Charolais heavy steers for 357 cents 564 kg $2015 . . .
