Bargain hunters and those wanting to make a bit of cash from surplus items will be excited to hear that Narromine Shire Council has announced its participation in this year’s Garage Sale Trail.
The Garage Sale Trail is Australia’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt with over three million pre-loved items going up for sale over two big weekends.
Last year, this Australia-wide initiative saw over 400,000 Australians shop or sell at more than 14,000 garage sales across the nation.
Together, they extended the life of over 4.8 million kilograms of ‘stuff’, saving these items from landfill and maximising the value of all the energy and resources that goes in to making the things we buy…
