A Coonamble woman is collecting phones to distribute to people in abusive relationships as Domestic Violence Prevention Month enters its final weeks.
Amanda Daniels set up a box at Global Village earlier in May, where residents can place sim cards and pre-loved handsets.
She said a secret mobile can be a lifeline when abusive partners take away their set.
