Recently arrived after an 18-month stint in Sydney, Joy Pejo is one of the latest carers to join the team at Koonambil Aged Care.
The 30-year-old and her partner Rheygee Suyko were looking for a sponsoring employer as they approached the end of their visa period when Koonambil administrator Sam Sevilla spoke to them about a gig in Coonamble.
The pair from the Philippines came to town in September, where Rheygee also works at the facility as a cook.
