After nearly 14 years, community "pillar" and Aboriginal Health Worker Steven ‘Jay Jay' Smith is hanging up his boots at the Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service (CAHS).
He's become a familiar face at the practice since he joined in July 2010, wearing many hats as a support worker, jack of all trades and non-judgmental ear.
He made Thursday 16 May his last at the service due to personal and medical issues.
