Coonamble was a very different place when Keith (21) and Helen Glover arrived in 1961 from Sydney.
"It was a thriving sheep town," said Keith. "There was no wheat and not much in the way of cattle.
"In town there were three machinery dealers and five car dealers, plus five pubs!"It was a busy town."
The young couple moved to the district with baby Stephen in tow and soon put down strong roots, adding four more children - Dennis, Cheryl, Scott and Donna.
Both Keith and Helen were born and raised . . .
