At first Lisa Kenny wasn't sure what she was looking at when she saw a wombat along the Billeroy Road on the morning of Friday 14 March.
"I thought it was a pig. I have never seen a wombat on that road before," Ms Kenny said.
"He was trotting along beside the road while I was driving. I wound the window down and asked him what he was doing.
