Councillors have approved $14,000 for local non-profit group activities under the latest round of Council donations.
Six groups including the Neighbourhood Centre, Castlereagh Landcare and St Barnabas Anglican Parish received money for projects from upgrading a sound system to hosting a luncheon for people with disabilities.
Gulargambone Working Dogs, Coonamble Local Aboriginal Land Council and Koori Knockout club 2829 Gathering also received funding.
“Our sound system’s not totally adequate when we have particularly big funerals where not everyone fits in the church,” St Barnabas Church’s Lois Cain said.
