The rainy weather tried to wash away the Christmas spirit last weekend 13 and 14 December, but the Coonamble community's Christmas Spirit shone through regardless.
Due to the wet weather, the final Coonamble Chamber of Commerce (CCoC) draw was postponed to Sunday, and after the Christmas races were cancelled early on Saturday, the community was confused around whether the Street Markets were set to continue in the evening.
Early Saturday morning the Christmas Races were cancelled after stewards declared the conditions too wet.
