Seven Coonamble High School students got their hands dirty under a five-day automotive pre-apprenticeship program designed to spark their interest in becoming mechanics.
The Year 9 and 10 students - six boys and one girl - travelled each day to Gilgandra High School starting on Monday 15 September.
Along with eight students from Gilgandra High, they worked with Sydney-based trainer Emile Bacha, from the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers.
