Medical students from across metropolitan NSW and the ACT had a taste of the country over the long weekend as part of a push to get more new graduates going bush.
Twenty students from universities including in Sydney, Wollongong, Canberra and Newcastle rolled into town on Saturday 7 June to hear from occupational therapists at Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service (CAHS) and local paramedics, with a view to sharing experiences and understanding challenges to medical services in the area.
