AGEING infrastructure and workforce issues at the Coonamble Shire-owned Mount Magometon quarry have limited production capacity in recent months, however, council remains optimistic for the future of the quarry following the introduction of a new mobile crushing plant.
In November of 2022, Coonamble Shire Council put out a tender for a mobile crushing unit to help compensate for the struggling fixed crushing plant at the quarry.
