In 1925, seventeen determined women in Coonamble looked around, rolled up their sleeves and said ‘Right then, let’s get this town sorted’.
And with that, on 11 June, they founded Coonamble’s very first Country Women’s Association (CWA) branch – three years after the CWA of NSW was born, because good things (like good tea) take time.
