Coonamble and Gulargambone children have had plenty of activities to keep them busy over the official NAIDOC Week which coincided with school holidays between 7 and 14 July.
After Coonamble’s official launch on Monday 8 July, Youth mentor Dave Jones and Matt Boney from Coonamble Local Aboriginal Land Council visited pre-schoolers at Coonamble Children’s Services for a little cultural learning.
They came for show and tell, bringing clapping sticks, an emu egg, boomerangs and even a female black cockatoo feather.
