Last Monday, we celebrated National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day with a beautiful Mass, with Bishop McKenna, Father Carl and Father Diep.
We began the morning with a Welcome to Country, by Davo Jones, before a Smoking Ceremony as we entered Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Our friends from St Lawrence’s Coonabarabran and St John’s Baradine joined us to celebrate this wonderful occasion.
Mass began with a Liturgical Dance from St Brigid’s students, while other student representatives from the Diocese carried cultural items to the Altar . . .
