A sobering statistic during this year’s National Farm Safety Week is that more than one Australian farmer is dying in a work-related accident every week.
New figures showing 53 people died and a further 182 were seriously injured on Australian farms in 2025.
The figures, released in Farmsafe Australia’s 2026 Safer Farms Report, bring the national farm death toll to 427 since 2019 and highlight tractors, quadbikes and side-by-side vehicles as the leading causes of fatalities…
