On 27 November the Coonamble Shire Council joined the Tripartite Agreement with the NSW Government along with 32 other councils which is expected to speed up the payment to council of almost $10 million in grant debt.The Tripartite Agreement, which is between councils, the NSW Reconstruction Authority, and Transport for NSW. is designed to provide accelerated disaster recovery to cover the costs of relevant work such as road repair."In the past councils might have had to wait months, sometimes years, before being reimbursed for the cost of disaster-related repairs," Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Recovery Janelle Saffin . . .
