Coonamble will have a fresh face behind the judging bench as the local court settles into a new circuit with its northern neighbours.
Magistrate Shaun Mortimer has been appointed to the North West Circuit and will begin on 13 October this year.
He’ll take over from Magistrate Margaret Quinn, who has been temporarily covering the town since the circuit started in March 2025.
