NSW Police say they are actively targeting domestic violence perpetrators in Coonamble and this is borne out by new data shedding light on Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders (ADVOs) released recently by the NSW Government.
The shire recorded more than five times the rate of ADVOs than the NSW average, according to the latest data from the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOSCAR).
Between July 2023 and June 2024 there were 113 new Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders registered across the district.
That is a rate of about 3504 per 100,000 people . . .
