Following a hot start to Spring, conditions have eased this week with milder days and cooler nights.
Scattered storms have crossed the district, bringing wind and hail in parts but rainfall totals have remained light and patchy.
It’s great to see a widespread harvest underway with the district bustling with itinerant workers, trucks and headers moving from farm to farm.
Early reports indicate that grain prices are generally lower than last years, many growers are pleased that solid yields are offsetting the softer market.
