IT HAS been years in the making but an internationally-recognised community-based campaign to help local Indigenous adults improve their literacy skills is now getting underway in Coonamble.
The Literacy for Life Foundation's 'Yes I Can' campaign has finally secured funding to roll out a two-year program which has been proven in other remote communities, including Bourke, Walgett and Collarenebri, to yield dramatic results.
