The upgrade of the Council-owned Tennis Courts at Quambone has stalled after Coonamble Shire removed contractor SportSafe Surfaces Australia over construction delays.
While a Council representative could not comment on the decision, the Coffs Harbour based company’s Director Josh Spry confirmed he was notified this month.
Mr Spry said work was delayed due to personal reasons and soggy ground preventing the extension of the back ends of the court.
He also said the company would be dropping Council-supplied materials in Quambone this week.
