Veterans, students, and community members gathered at the cenotaph 11am on Monday 11 November to honour those who fought for Australia in World War I and onwards.“One hundred and six years ago today the guns fell silent on the Western Front when the Germans finally signed the treaty of the great war on 11 November 1918,” Irene Reeves said in a welcome speech.She wore a Red Poppy brooch, the traditional emblem of Remembrance Day.Red poppies have been the symbol of Remembrance . . .
