Coonamble has outperformed its city counterparts in a recent Rental Affordability Index published in November.Research company SGS’s tenth annual Index classed rents in the 2829 postcode as “acceptable” for households earning $60,000 a year, meaning rents accounted for 20 to 25 per cent of income.In comparison, the median rental in a majority of Sydney postcodes took over 60 to 75 per cent of income for households on the same income scale.The median yearly household income in Coonamble was $64,000 . . .
