Coonamble's BJ Jones remembers first coming to the Plaza Theatre in the 1970s when he was around ten-years-old.
Back then, the line could stretch across Castlereagh Street for the Friday night 'pictures,' where westerns were often the most popular.
In the intermissions, he could walk into the Busy Bee next door (now Global Village) to grab drinks and lollies.
"It was fantastic back then. You could come in and have a good time with all your friends," BJ said.
