COONAMBLE Shire Council has announced plans to expand their blue metal quarry at Mt Magometon - increasing the capacity of the facility while keeping the profits here in Coonamble.
Gravel has been in high demand due to flood damage on roads throughout Coonamble Shire leading Council to take steps to protect their own supply by last week announcing 40mm gravel would no longer be available for sale to the public.
