Gulargambone and Quambone's tip hours will remain unchanged until 30 June 2026 while Coonamble Shire reviews service levels.
Council staff had proposed to reduce services by three hours in the two towns, and a day at Coonamble, to save $108,000 in plant and labour costs.
In July councillors voted to defer the reductions at the smaller towns to 31 December, while Coonamble tip will remain closed on Fridays from 5 September.
