Sheriff’s officers across rural NSW staged a walk out last Wednesday 17 July, in protest against the staffing crisis and poor pay across the sector.
The industrial action meant the court in Coonamble did not open until 10:30 a.m.
Forty-three other courthouses were affected including Bourke, Cobar, Nyngan, Warren, Narromine, Wellington, Rylstone, Mudgee, Gulgong, Dunedoo, Gilgandra, Coonabarabran, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, and Brewarrina.
