LAST Wednesday 9th October the Lady Golfers held a farewell party for Shirley Philpott after they played their last 18 holes for the season.
I would like to reflect on Shirley Philpott’s extensive golfing career at our Club.
Shirley has been a great club member for over 60 years joining in the late 1950’s with Pat Green encouraging her and husband Max supporting her. Shirley served on the ladies committee as president and various other positions.
She won numerous club trophies, club medals, WGNSW medals, spoons and the Mabel McKenzie brooch . . .
