The Australian wool market eased for the second consecutive series, with the Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) closing the week 10 cents lower at 1,876c/kg, driven largely by weakness in the Merino fleece sector.
The offering remained relatively small, with 29,705 bales available, the smallest sale since November.
On the opening day, Merino fleece Micron Price Guides (MPGs) fell by 4 32 cents, while crossbred MPGs bucked the trend, rising up to 42 cents as the EMI’s lost eight cents for the day.
