Construction is creeping closer for Coonamble's first solar farm development.
Australian owned specialist renewable energy investment manager Birdwood Energy plans to build a facility with a single axis tracking system with approximately 13,888 solar panels and 11MWh (megawatt hours) of battery storage.
Anthony Anderson from Birdwood Energy said the company had a certified traffic design ready but is awaiting final sign-off from Transport for NSW (TfNSW) before they can break ground.
Birdwood Energy has a work authorisation deed in place with TfNSW to upgrade the intersection of the Castlereagh Highway . . .
