A parliamentary inquiry will probe regional crime after the NSW government gave the green light last Wednesday 20 March.
The inquiry by the NSW Legislative Assembly's Committee on Law and Safety, will report on "drivers of youth crime across regional and rural NSW, particularly since the COVID pandemic," according to it's terms of reference.
It will also look at diversionary services, police staffing and the impacts of recidivism rates in regional areas.
