Walgett mayor Jasen Ramien said he wants to see a natural disaster declaration for the Carinda district as the storm-hit town remained without grid power “until at least tomorrow [Tuesday] afternoon.”Cr Ramien said he has contacted the NSW government for support to make the declaration as community members and emergency workers clean up the town.Damaging winds downed trees and power poles, cutting power in the town at around 6:15pm on Sunday 17 . . .
