Electrical storms created havoc on the first day of autumn when lightning strikes started a fire in a paddock about 2 kilometres along the Kenilworth Lane, west of Coonamble last Thursday evening 1 March.
Aided by strong winds, the fire raced almost from the Quambone Road to just short of the Carinda Road burning about 800 acres of Pip Cullen and Garret Barry's property 'Quamby' and 200 acres of the Fagan family's 'Brenda . . .
