LIKE many Local Environment Plans (LEPs) around the state, the document governing landuse across Coonamble Shire needed some tidying up.
Coonamble Shire Council has taken a recent opportunity to undertake what is known as 'housekeeping amendments' to their LEP and are hopeful that the results should remove some impediments that have frustrated residents and businesses in recent years.
Coonamble's LEP was last updated in 2011, after the state government introduced legislation standardising the planning instruments across local government areas in an effort to make them more consistent and to allow everyone to understand them . . .
