Work has begun to plant 16 new Jacaranda trees along McCullough Street adjacent to the main sportsground, which Coonamble Shire Council staff hope will be completed in late June.
Workers started drilling tree holes into the bitumen in some of the car parks along the middle of the road on the week of 16 June.
