AN accident involving a road freight courier vehicle took place at around 5:50pm on Thursday 15 September.
The truck was travelling south towards Gilgandra when it left the Castlereagh Highway, mounted the gutter and smashed through the fence of the Playground and Skate Park in the Gulargambone Memorial Park.
Witnesses say that the vehicle stopped by the pole of the shade sails in the enclosed area.
It is unknown how or why the truck accident occurred however the manager of the freight company says that they have ruled out mechanical failure on . . .
