Lightning Ridge is no longer Walgett Shire’s best kept secret, – it has been named a worthy finalist in the 2023 NSW Top Tourism Town Awards and voting closes at 5pm today!
There are 32 towns from across the state vying for the prestigious accolade across three categories. Small, but unique, Lightning Ridge is a finalist in the category for towns under 1500 residents.
Jenni Brammall, who has live in the Ridge for 25 years said she isn’t at all surprised.
“The Lightning Ridge community is friendly, inclusive, diverse and welcoming,” she said. “I came here for four weeks in 1998 and it immediately felt like home. I love the landscape and the community.”…
