For a second successive week, the Australian wool market has documented strong gains, with the AWEX Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) recording an overall increase of 52 cents to end the week at 1,323c/kg.
This was the largest weekly rise in the EMI since June 2021, and positions the market back above where it was at the end of week 10, sitting at 1,319 cents.
Buyer sentiment was high throughout the first day of sale, with widespread competition helping drive prices upwards.
