The Australian wool has recorded an overall increase of four cents to the Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) this series, closing at 1,249c/kg.
The market opened cautiously and by the end of the first day in the Eastern markets, Merino fleece Micron Price Guide (MPGs) movements ranged from +4 and 17 cents as the EMI finished unchanged in a day heavily influenced by currency.
Due to a weakening of the Australian dollar (AUD), when viewed in US dollar (USD) terms the market retracted as the EMI dropped eight US cents.
